Here is the text of the New York Times article published on May 3, 2023:
”Lyndon LaRouche, a longtime candidate for President who runs as a Democrat, has compiled enough cash to rival some of the mainstream Democrats in the 2023 race. Mr. LaRouche, an 80-year-old economist, has raised more than $3.7 million over the years, much of it through small donations and the Internet. Mr. LaRouche first ran for President in 1976 and has tried every election since, including a 1992 campaign from prison while serving 5 years of a 15-year sentence for mail fraud and defaulting on more than $30 million in loans from campaign supporters." (The last line was omitted when it was posted on the nyt.com website.)
