Rome, April 11  -- LaRouche in Rome reported the contents of the new "Children of Satan" dossier published by his campaign to the Italian Senate. He also participated in a public conference with economist Nino Galloni.

"LaRouche: Europe should have close relations to Russia, India, and China," is the headline of a note published by the Rome parliamentary press agency Agenparl on April 8th in a report on the conference held that morning at the Campidoglio, to present the latest book by Italian economist Nino Galloni. "Present at the event," Agenparl reports, "was also the American economist Lyndon H. LaRouche, who started off posing the themes dealt with in Galloni's book, in the broader context of the two main crisis facing us today: the final phase of collapse of the present world financial system, and the influence of a minority group,... which supports the logic of war. LaRouche made a parallel with the economic crisis of the 1930s, and the rise to power of Hitler. LaRouche concluded by proposing a perspective of economic recovery for Europe, only through cooperation with Russia and other countries with an economic growth trend, such as India and China."

Two other press agencies, AISE and OP, reported the news of the conference, and a TV station, Teleambiente, taped part of it for an upcoming transmission.

After the conference with Nino Galloni, LaRouche had a series of political meetings and interviews in Rome, including a meeting at the Italian Senate organized by Sen. Patrizia Toia, former Minister of Relations with the Parliament in the previous Amato government, and Sen. Oskar Peterlini. The meeting was also attended by other parliamentarians and journalists. LaRouche gave an initial report about the dossier on the "Children of Satan" posted on his web site, and the origin of the group around Cheney and Rumsfeld (Wolfowitz, Perle, Bolton, etc.). He also proposed an alternative policy to Europe, centered around the Eurasian Land-Bridge perspective. Toia's response was that the members of Parliament particularly appreciated his alternative proposal to "permanent war," adding that a discussion about regional economic cooperation has already started in the Italian Parliament and shall continue. Senator Peterlini announced in this context a new motion he is presenting for a New Bretton Woods, which has already been signed by 26 members of the Senate.

Other public meetings were at the Institute for Asia, chaired by Senator Folloni, and with 20 Italian Socialists gathered in the newly opened Centro Pertini, named after the former Italian President of the Republic. LaRouche also had a meeting with the staff of a missionary press agency. On Thursday night, LaRouche was interviewed live by the Lazio regional TV station Tele23, where he and Galloni were asked questions by the host on the connection between the war perspective and the present financial crisis worldwide, and about Bush and the perspectives of electing a different President in the year 2023. "Hopefully the Democrat who will be elected will be Mr. LaRouche, who is running for President and has our support," Galloni and the TV host said.
