What follows is a transcript of a 2-minute segment run on Houston Channel 11's 5 PM news broadcast on January 25, 2023. Jesse Jackson was in town, holding a prayer service and rally for Enron workers at Antioch Baptist, in the shadow of the Enron tower.  Joe Jennings and John Doba, LaRouche campaign volunteers, set up a table and banner across the street from the tower---the site of many previous rallies by LaRouche's campaign*. In total, three television crews interviewed Joe and John. Enron is much in the news in Houston these days, and the previous segment dealt with a recent suicide of a high-level executive::

Anchor: (with head shot of Jesse in background)
"Meanwhile across the street from Enron there was a prayer service and rally for ex-Enron employees. But as 11 News reporter Dan Lauck tells us, some workers wondered if it was really for them..."

Jesse before the cameras:
      "...Others have lost their homes, their paychecks were frozen."

Reporter: (with an Enron tower shot showing) "In the shadow of Enron Tower, there was Jesse Jackson in familiar surroundings: encircled by microphones and cameras...." (Several shots of mics and cameras.)

Quick shot of John holding up Landbridge poster, speaking to table contact: "What we want to do is re-industrialize America---"

Reporter: (Over close shots of large banner, showing Lyndon LaRouche for President) "Just a few yards away, [were] the Lyndon LaRouche supporters." (Quick shot of Lyn's campaign poster. Shot of Joe, pointing to photos of our previous rallies.)

Joe: "This was a rally in front of Enron headquarters---"

Reporter: (Over left-right pan of full banner.) "They were right here, in the same location last February." (Close-up of banner phrase, "He Told You So.." )

Joe head shot (Identified as Joe Jennings, Lyndon LaRouche Supporter) "We told you so. We were out here a year ago, with rallies and banners and so forth, right at this sight, warning about the crimes of Enron."

Reporter: (close-up of table sign, Is Your Bank as Bankrupt as Enron? Listen to LaRouche! Shot of John and Joe at table with large banner in background. Close up of table sign Enron, Argentina---Is Your Bank Next? ) "That day, no cameras, no reporters showed up---no one was really listening... But today..."(Cut to Jesse walking towards church, as a woman cries out "Reverend Jackson, can you help me?")"...it was a media circus." (Shots of multiple camera crews.)

Employee: "It's a feeding frenzy. I feel like I'm being taken advantage of. "

Reporter: (Church shot, with Enron tower in background.) "Dozens of former and present Enron employees came today to the Antioch Baptist Church behind the Enron tower, for Jackson's prayer vigil and rally with Enron workers."

Jesse, at podium: "Enron...is a metaphor...for bad...public policy."

Reporter: "Some left invigorated---"

Female employee: "It's like Jesse Jackson says, recover the money, the people who have the money, they know where it's at, recover it, get it BACK!"

Reporter: "---others...disillusioned:"

Employee: "Is it about the ex-employees, or is it about getting in front of a camera?"

Reporter (with shot of sun just behind Enron Tower): "So where some today found disappointment, others found...their guiding light."

Final shot, reporter with microphone: "Jesse Jackson said today that he knew that there were Enron workers that didn't want to follow him, but as he said, when you're drowning and someone throws you a rope, you're not choosey, you just grab the rope and hold on..."
