Japan's Bungei Shunjyu Reports
On LaRouche's Sept 11th Analysis
October 8, 2023

Japan's popular magazine Bungei Shunjyu reports on LaRouche's Sept. 11 analysis in its October issue. Bungei Shunjyu is a monthly magazine with a subscription circulation of 800,000 (and a subway circulation in the millions). This issue features 17 articles about the distrust of America now growing in Japan, and "conspiracy theories" about Sept. 11. LaRouche is referred to as "famous in America because he ran for the Presidency over and over again and polled a considerable number of votes" and one who "has top-level meetings in China and Russia." The comments on LaRouche are sarcastic but, although this is the first time LaRouche's name has ever been mentioned in the mainstream Japanese media, it is dropped in a such a way as to imply that everyone in Tokyo knows LaRouche.

Kazuyuki Hamada, a well-known analyst in Tokyo on international affairs with CFR/RIIA connections, notes that while 70% of Japanese oppose it, Koizumi looks certain to back Bush on war with Iraq. Hamada then writes: "‘There are quite a number of people in America who deeply believe in conspiracy theory" regarding Sept. 11. "One of them is Lyndon LaRouche. He is famous in America because he ran for the Presidency over and over again and polled a considerable number of votes. I am sure the he [LaRouche] has a strange network. He has top-level meetings in China and Russia. He was charged for frauds and tax evasion and was in prison for some years."

Pop writer Hiroshi Unno also mentions LaRouche saying: "LaRouche was extreme right-wing in the past. He is filled with hate for Kissinger. He has argued his conspiracy theory since 1970's that Kissinger is a Freemasonic agent for the British Royal family." Unno has published dozens of books in Japan including "The Conspiratorial History of the World" (500 pages) published by Bungei Shunju in July 2023, which contains eight separate references to LaRouche. Unno in the same book also covers EIR's Dope Inc. at length, reporting on the relations between the British Royal family and drug traffic.
