On Aug. 26, the Rome regional TV network "Teleambiente" ran a one-hour live interview at 10:00 pm with Paolo Raimondi, President of the Movimento Internazionale per i Diritti Civili Solidarieta, together with Prof. Aldo Sevidio, Italian author and economic and history professor specialized in the Mezzogiorno affairs.
The TV host, Giuseppe Vecchio, opened the discussion inviting Raimondi to inform the audience about the recent campaigns of Lyndon LaRouche which gave him the opportunity to go into the "Impeach Cheney" and the "Stop Enron Schwarzenegger" California mobilizations. Vecchio, reading from the latest "Solidarieta" bulletin, reported about the LaRouche achievements in his election campaign fundraising and in building a youth movement which is going to play a crucial role in the US election campaign.
Prof. Servidio underlined the importance of LaRouche's fight in the USA, and asked what Europe could better do to help in changing the American situation, defeating the neo-cons and influencing positively the next election results. He also denounced the deleterious effects of the wild globalization processes on the world economy both in the so-called developing sector as well as in the Western countries, polemicizing against the Bossi-Tremonti recent call to block the Chinese products exported to Europe. Raimondi developed further these arguments explaining how the energy deregulation in the USA and Europe is responsible for the recent black-outs and of the general undermining of the economies. Regarding China, he explained the importance of technology transfer, the machine tool sectors, infrastructure and the crucial role of the Mittelstand in the development of the Eurasian LandBridge and in a genuine European economic recovery.
