Nov. 21--Democratic Presidential pre-candidate Lyndon LaRouche campaigned in St. Louis, Missouri November 18, where he held a press conference, reception, and public meeting. The public meeting was hosted by three Missouri state representatives: Rep. Juanita Head Walton, Rep. Esther Haywood, and former Rep. Quincy Troop.
Throughout the day, LaRouche's voice was heard on area media, including the National Public Radio station, and the large African-American radio talkshow called "The Wake Up Call," which aired an hour-long live interview.
At the press conference, where he was introduced by Rep. Esther Haywood, LaRouche described the current political situation as like that of 1932, but that every other Democratic Presidential candidate was denying reality, and sticking to the failed policies which have created the current mess. There is a danger of further war and economic collapse, LaRouche warned, unless we reverse course with the policies he's proposed.
In the question and answer period, Larouche again stressed the role of his Youth Movement in providing leadership to get out of the crisis.
The evening meeting drew over 70 people, for a major address by the candidate, which will be made available on the website over the next few days.
LaRouche's next stop was in Detroit, Michigan, where 230 supporters and old friends attended an event which was broadcast live via the internet on the evening of November 20th. LaRouche opened his remarks by noting happily that he saw many old friends from "his generation" in the audience and that he would make his own generation "a point of reference" for his speech on this occassion.
