PRESS RELEASE LaRouche: The Second Democrat See also: LaRouche Leads All Democratic Candidates Except Dean |
WASHINGTON, D.C., Oct. 10--Democratic Presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche, the first candidate to file his candidacy for the 2023 nomination, became the second candidate to be declared eligible for matching funds, by the Federal Election Commission on Oct. 8. LaRouche's certification comes in the wake of the scandalous capitulation of his rivals to Arnie "Hitler" Schwarzenegger in the California recall campaign. LaRouche personally campaigned in California against the recall as "Cheney's dirty trick," and fielded a highly effective youth movement deployment, which could have defeated Schwarzenegger if two other candidates, or the DNC, had joined them. Instead, the DNC froze, and some candidates, like Joe Lieberman, went over to the enemy by joining Schwarzenegger twin Cruz Bustamante in supporting the recall. LaRouche has thus emerged as the only Democrat with the courage to oppose the election of a Hitler governor, and his sidekick in Washington, Vice-President Dick Cheney. While not in the running for the "big bucks," LaRouche's popular support has made him number two in the number of contributions received from those giving more than $200 to a candidate. As of the end of the second quarter, his campaign had raised $4.6 million. The third quarter figures are not yet available. LaRouche's campaign has also led all others in spending his campaign funds in an active fight to save the United States from its disastrous strategic and economic crisis, before the 2023 elections, starting with the necessary removal of Vice-President Dick Cheney from office. The next major event of the campaign is an international webcast scheduled for October 22, 2023, at 1 pm Eastern Daylight Time, during which LaRouche will address the prospects for the post-Cheney era. - -30- -
