LaRouche Leads All Democratic Candidates Except Dean
In Number of Individual Itemized Contributions

October 17, 2023

Lyndon LaRouche remains a leading candidate among all the candidates for the Democratic Presidential nomination, in both the number of individual contributions and total amount of money raised, according to the October Quarterly reports which the Federal Election Commission requires all candidates to file on October 15.

* - LaRouche is far ahead of all other candidates except Dean in the total number of individual itemized contributions--both in the latest Quarter, with 5,122, and for the cumulative campaign, with 28,332. Individual itemized contributions indicate both broad and ongoing grass roots support for the candidate. The FEC defines an individual itemized contribution as any transaction by a person who has cumulatively contributed $200 or more to a campaign.

* - LaRouche ranks sixth in the cumulative amount of money raised during his campaign, with $5,428,598.75--ahead of Sen. Bob Graham, who dropped out of the race without ever surpassing LaRouche in fundraising, Gen. Wesley Clark, Rep. Dennis Kucinich, former Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun, and Rev. Al Sharpton.

In addition, LaRouche has $1.3 million in unitemized contributions--the fourth-highest amount among all candidates. Unitemized contributions are a pool of money from individuals whose contributions have not reached the $200 level yet--where the FEC would require them to be itemized--and thus represent a large future fundraising potential for the campaign.

Among itemized contributions, LaRouche's average contribution, cumulatively, is the lowest of all candidates, an average of $145.53, demonstrating that LaRouche has broad support among today's "lower 80%" income bracket of Americans, whom he has likened to FDR's "forgotten man."
