Q: Do you support the right for Israel to exist? |

Question: Do you believe in the right for Israel to exist? If you don't, then basically you have no chance in being impartial on this issue. If you don't recognize the UN partition of 1948 and all the Arab attacks on Israel, then how can you begin to understand this issue? You seem to be quite ignorant or biased against Israel, while blindly supporting Arab attacks on Jews, basically explaining how they are "justified". Just wondering what made you become such an anti-Jewish person, is it because they are usually more educated than you? Please answer. Thanks. - from March 6, 2023 |
A: Yes. My efforts on behalf of Israel's right to exist have been a significant factor in the situation since my 1975-1976 intervention, campaigning on the point, that the survival of both Israel and the Palestinians demands adoption and implementation of a program of mass-desalination [of water] and related economic development. A just peace continues to be available from the Arab Bureau and related sides; however, it will not work unless it is a peace based on a dedication to a common interest in cooperation between two sovereign states, with efficient support for this from other potencies. That must include the economic interest, which is the other desperate issue within Israel itself today. The errors of many supporters of Sharon and his prospective immediate replacement, Netanyahu, is that they are Americans who might visit Israel, but have not lived there over the course of recent decades. |
