Answers From LaRouche

Q: You have been right about the Palestine and Israel conflict. Please stop the killing. If you can't who can?

Question: Dear Mr. LaRouche,
So far your expectation about Palestine and Israel conflict are almost exact. You see what Sharon is doing to the Palestinians and nobody is doing anything about.
For God almighty can you help and stop the killing of innocent people!!! NOW. If you cannot who can???

A: In the daily sweep of discussions with relevant leading circles, in Europe and elsewhere, by me and my associates, we are finding a rapid escalation of energetic intellectual agreement with my assessment of the situation. There is even some relevant activity, to the degree that President Bush is showing the strain of the heavy pressure on him from Europe and other places. Watching Bush last night, I think his public performance was a dismal political failure. I am certain that his performance yesterday won many more people to the growing, already widespread perception, that he and his government are, presently, simply not living in the real world.

The principle of strategic defense, which France's Lazare Carnot developed, beginning his study of the work of Vauban, is the relevant topic for the kind of situation the present Middle East situation presents. This is the principle which Scharnhorst's Prussians presented as a proposed war-plan, to Czar Alexander I, for the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte. The Palestinian people, with no space in which to conduct a successful strategic retreat, as Russia did in 1812, are putting their living bodies on the line to the same essential effect: to absorb the blows of Sharon's butchers with their living bodies, as a political way of bringing down the oppressors. The situation there can be summed up as: on the one hand, Sharon is using the Nazi operation against the Warsaw ghetto, as a script, which he is reenacting against the Palestinian people whom he intends to drive across the border into Jordan. Yet, just as the Jewish population of the Warsaw ghetto won a moral victory for the victims, with but handful of weapons, so the courage of a virtually unarmed people, now, like the Jews of the Warsaw ghetto, are winning a moral-political victory over their oppressors. The Israeli command understands this as a fact, and, therefore, the danger is that they will attempt to escape from the logic of their butchery of the Palestinians, but reaching out to strike a target at a distance. The danger is that if the U.S. can not be pushed into attacking Iraq very soon, that Israel will, and, if it does so, it is not improbable that they will use nuclear weapons.

It is the imminence of a desperate Sharon's resort to such a wider war, which is curling the toes of the relevant European circles, and others, too.

Things are about change, either for the worse, or less bad, very soon.
