Answers From LaRouche Q: We must save nations like Colombia from destruction. - from July 13, 2023 European Cadre School |
Question: Mr. LaRouche, a few years ago something has happened to change my mind, in many cases, many directions. I was with my parents, and I'm Colombian, near the Atlantic; there's a river called the Magdalena, which goes from the Andes to the Atlantic. And, the truth is that the river is sweet, that it's really dirty--dirty, dirty. You can't drink of it, it's a horrible situation. So, my father is of a city called Baranquilla [ph], which is a port city. I was standing with my father, at the port, and he started crying, seeing that a river can be so sweet, and it's so dirty, like Colombia is: Because, it's like many countries of the Earth--so beautiful, because each country is so beautiful, culture, tradition, and so on. But, no country is really free. And so, it was like a symbol of Colombia, it was a really a strange situation, seeing somebody like my father, a Colombian man starting to cry, so seeing this river. That's my story. LaRouche: Well, it's obvious, we have to develop that area. Because there's nothing that has to be done, that can't be done. We just have to have the resources and will. -30-
